food & drink

I design menus, packaging, and merch that help food and drink brands stand out. My illustrations add personality and clarity, giving breweries and restaurants designs that connects with their audience. Explore some of my favorite Food & Drink projects below.

518 Smokehouse

Barbeque restaurant branding

This brand first started with the sketches I drew over a year prior to the restaurant opening. Later on when the restaurant was starting to open, I created the original menu for 518 Smokehouse, filling it with custom illustrations that gave the restaurant a handcrafted personality and combined the owner’s design preferences. This brand naturally grew to include animated social posts — my first dive into motion design, which sparked a love for animation.

I also developed a hand-drawn logo/mascot that went through different iterations before landing on a characterized pig the owner loved, later refined with color and an updated frame by the senior designer.

In addition to the menu and logo, I mocked up shirt and apron designs for staff. While not every mockup made it to production, the process gave me valuable experience in applying illustration across menus, merch, and branding systems. I learned how to translate my illustration into consistent visuals across multiple formats.
